This annual national survey observes how many cyclists in New Zealand wear helmets. Approximately 4,000 cyclists are observed at 58 sites around the country each year. Each site is surveyed for two separate hours, typically between 8am and 9am, and between 3pm and 4pm on normal school weekdays.
