CBG
has just started fieldwork for the New
Zealand Health Survey.
CBG is a major independent provider of health services research in New
Zealand. With extensive practical experience at all levels of the health
sector CBG can provide independent research to managers and policy makers,
to improve decision making and help you deliver better quality health care.
CBG was set up by Carol Boustead and Barry Gribben to meet the need for
high quality practical health research. In our experience, traditional
consultancy firms and market research companies struggle to operate
effectively in the health sector. Health is not just another business. The
difficulties measuring health outcomes, ethics and consenting issues and
the complexity of professional relationships often means that research and
analysis need specialist skills.

Not least of these is some "street cred". If you haven't worked in the sector, at the
proverbial coal face, health providers do not take you very seriously. At
CBG we meld practical clinical experience with proven research capability
to provide accurate and cost-effective answers.

From the very beginning CBG has worked closely with Maori and Pacific
providers. We have now developed a team of more than 40 multilingual,
culturally competent field workers backed by a team of experienced
analysts, statisticians and programmers.

Recent contracts include evaluations of the Primary Health Care Strategy,
the Reducing Inequalities Contingency Fund, the Meningococcal B Vaccination
Programme and the Maori Provider Development Fund. We have recently
completed an HRC funded research programmme into
outreach nursing, and will be delivering a toolkit, including two “web
forms” to help providers develop and deliver a nursing outreach service.

Have a look round this site - CBG has a large range of skills and our
business model is agile, responsive and interactive. All enquiries are
welcome.
