Adult Nutrition Survey

The 2008/09 New Zealand Adult Nutrition Survey (NZANS) assessed dietary intake and eating patterns, dietary supplement use, food security, body size, blood pressure and biochemical measures in the usually resident New Zealand adult population aged 15 years and over.

The 2008/09 NZANS was the fourth national population-based nutrition survey in adults and the second survey by the Ministry of Health. Earlier nutrition surveys were the 1977 National Diet Survey, the 1989 Life in New Zealand Survey and the 1997 National Nutrition Survey. CBG conducted the recruitment for the NZANS.
